I enjoy a glass of sherry as you may have worked out by now. Tio Pepe is my standard pre-dinner sherry, but now and again I try something different either because it looks interesting or it’s on sale. This one fell into the latter category.
It didn’t taste sub-standard though, it was dry and briny, not too olivey, but not awash with flavour. It was good every day cooking sherry, by which of course I mean good sherry to drink whilst you’re cooking, not just for putting in food.
It’s not going to blow your socks off with wonder, but at under £5 a bottle at Sainsbury’s it’s hard to beat.
