Last Sunday Leicester held a local food and drink fair at the market. We stopped by for a mooch about, and found ourselves in quite a crowd. There was plenty going on with farm produce, restaurant offerings, an alarming array of cupcakes, wines and beers.
We picked up a few bottles from Langton Brewery. They were doing a roaring trade in draft beers, but as I hadn’t had lunch, take out seemed wisest. The beers were good. I’m not a big taster of beers, so no expert, but I liked these. They were light and flavourful, with a sensible level of alcohol, all coming in under 5%.
The production level doesn’t allow for national, let alone international distribution, but if they turn up at a festival or as a guest beer near you, give them a go.
