I received a phone call this evening, a tip off, advanced warning. I was glad of the call. There’s wine on TV this evening. WooHoo.
A real programme, the first of a series. OK so there’s only three episodes, but the first one is about Berry Bros and Rudd, their history and how they’re coping with the credit crunch. There’s a real threat that the current downturn will wipe out a business that’s sold great wine for over 300 years. It’s on BBC Four at 9pm GMT.
You can probably watch it where you are some time after 10 pm using the BBC’s iPlayer – it’s genius and you have UK licence payers to thank for it. Have a look at the BBC page on the programme here.
